22 Jun 2022 : RIP John Roach - Linnets fan across eight decades
We regret to pass on very sad news on the death of another of our stalwart fans.
John Roach passed away recently, aged 86, having loyally followed the Linnets since the 1950s.
As a supporter of Runcorn AFC, John would watch games from the popular side, sharing his traditional 'speck' behind the dugouts with good friend Derek Thompson.
In more recent years, he enjoyed supporting Runcorn Linnets and, true to form, his favourite spot was likewise on the dugout side, where he this time stood with pals Peter Hoxworth and Bryn Jones.
We were extremely sorry to hear of John's death and are thinking of his family and friends at this distressing time.
