James joined us for 2019-20 from Witton Albion, where he was a regular last season.

All but three of the player's 35 apppearances for the Wincham Park club had been starts.

James joined Albion in summer 2018 after five years at Marine.

This followed the Crosby club's relegation from the NPL Premier Division.

In January 2020, the defender was chosen by Marine's fans for their all-star team of the previous decade.

James' other clubs have included Morecambe, Warrington Town, Skelmersdale United and Burscough.
