Joining the staff after the manageial changes, which followed the curtailed 2019-20 season, Luke is a former non-league player.

He has proved an invaluable member of our backroom team.

Luke sacrificed his own playing career to concentrate on physiotherapy, with this enabling him (purposefully) to prolong involvement in football.

Graduating in Sports Rehabilitation from Salford University in 2012, he joined Chester FC in 2014 - spending four years as part of the first-team medical staff in the National League. The Runcorn post brought a welcome return to the game for Luke.

Luke played for AFC Liverpool, and while studying moved to Ashton Town, appearing for Ashton against Linnets in the NWCFL Cup.
