In the 61st minute Widnes substituted Michael Grogan for James Steele. James Steele received a Yellow Card for Widnes in the 64th minute. Following an awesome free-kick from 20 yards out Louis Corrigan increased the Linnets' lead in the 65th minute. In the 72nd minute Widnes substituted Daniel Ventre for Sam Sheen.
