I wanted to take the opportunity to write a message to you all as we end 2025 - initially to pay tribute to those people connected to the club, who sadly passed away during the year.
Whatever your interactions with Runcorn Linnets in 2025, I hope they have been positive. Where they haven't let's work together to resolve and hopefully improve.
Your support, in whatever capacity, is very much appreciated. I never take this for granted.
I want to thank our team of staff and volunteers, who work tirelessly to support me to run your football club. I appreciate everything you all do each day.
There are too many to name individually and it would be unfair to do so but a heartfelt thank you to you all.
The club is much more than a matchday operation and it's important to recognise the team efforts to keep things moving forward each day.
On Monday this week, the team worked together to get the club and ground ready for our match on New Year's Day.
2025 has been a year of success - the year we brought in Brad and Rob; the year I held our first senior trophies while I have been Chairman (Men's First Team and Under 21s). Incredibly proud moments.
It is also the year we started our groundshare agreement with Northwich Victoria. I want to thank Ian Egerton, Brian Turner and their team at Vics, who are fantastic tenants, have become great friends of the club and I really hope they continue their positive progress into the new year.
2026 will offer us the opportunity to continue our positive progress. If you want to join us and support us as a volunteer please reach out to me or any of our Board members and see how you can help.
Hopefully we can kickoff the new year with a win tomorrow.
Happy New Year everyone!
Pete
