Defender Bobby Phillips, seen above, is the third player this summer to transfer from Runcorn Linnets Juniors into the Under 21s ranks.
The talented 17-year-old joins our North West U21s Development squad but will remain a key player for the Under 18s.
Strong and good in possession, Bobby has showed up well for the U21s in pre-season.
The management team is looking forward to overseeing his progress in tandem with U18s manager Ade Miller.
Linnets U21s boss, Ste Ellams said: "Bobby has impressed myself, (assistant manager) Jono (Harrison) and Mose (coach Adam Moseley) right from the start.
"We knew early on he had a very good chance of making the step up.
"We've given him game time to prove himself and after racking up close to 100 minutes, we’ve decided to bring him in such has been his quality."
Bobby is the sixth new U21s signing to be unveiled.
The others include Callum Dennett and winger Charlie Cowell ( both also 17 and likewise stepping up from the U18s).
Joining them are Tom Ledward, who has returned to the club after serving Linnets at all other age levels, plus new recruits in forward Josh Mather and midfielder Liam Taggart.
