We were delighted to welcome Eliot Rokka to Runcorn Linnets ahead of this evening's 4-2 home victory over NPL West leaders Lower Breck.
Elliot has joined from Divisional rivals Stalybridge Celtic and is someone, having impressed when playing against us, and made his debut off the bench.
Our manager Michael Ellison had made no secret that he has been looking to srengthen, one of his priorities being in attacking areas.
A forward/winger, who has also played as an attacking midfielder, Elliot signed for Stalybridge in December 2024.
He made the last of his 26 appearances for them on January 17th.
Elliot has featured in 10 games this season - scoring one goal - and been an unused sub 15 times.
Stockprt-born Elliot previously played for Stalybridge manager Jon Macken at Witton Albion, racking up 101 outings for the Wincham club across three seasons and scoring a couple of goals against Linnets.
Now 29-year-old, he started his career in Manchester United’s Academy before switching to Macclesfield Town.
A move to Radcliffe Borough (now Radcliffe) saw Ellliot score 16 goals for the then NPL North side in 2016-2017, earning him a transfer to Tranmere Rovers on a one-year contract.
Following loan spells at Colwyn Bay, Warrington Town and Hyde United, he returned to Radcliffe in 2018-19 before joining Atherton Collieries in March 2020,
At the time, Colls were in NPL Premier Division under Brad Cooke.
He made 44 appearances with six goals before leaving at the end of 2021-22 after loan spells during that season at Macclesfield FC and Colne.
