Ryan Brookfield has been drafted in as goalkeeper coach by Michael Ellison, having previously worked alongside the reappointed Runcorn manager at Widnes.
He succeeds Adam Rigby, who had been installed by the previous manager Brad Cooke in July 2025.
We thank Adam for his efforts during his six months with the club.
Our incoming GK coach Ryan spent three years as a player with Chester City, where he rose through the youth ranks to the senior squad.
He made one senior appearance for the Seals, replacing the injured Chris MacKenzie during a 3–1 defeat at Lincoln City in December 2005.
Released at the end of the 2005-06 season, Ryan moved into non-League football with Colwyn Bay.
He left Bay towards the end of the 2006-07 and later played for Waterloo Dock
Ryan helped the then Liverpool County Premier League champions to reach the 2008-09 final of the Liverpool Senior Cup in which they lost by the only goal to Liverpool Reserves.
In other Linnets backroom news, teenager Dan Jago continues his kit manager's role under the returning manager.
