High fives for Ladies in Rovers victory

Linnets Ladies climbed into mid-table in North West Women's Regional League on Sunday with a second victory from six Division One South outings.

Olivia Brannagan, Chelsea Gillies and Eva Whimperley were all on target with Lile Ashley coming off the bench for a double as the hosts bounced back from two consecutive league defeats.

Linnets were too strong for visiting Tranmere, the League's bottom team, and now hold fifth place in the nine-strong division on seven points.
