Runcorn Linnets have snapped up versatile defender Scott Holding from Warrington Rylanrds.
The 23-year-old has experience of playing at higher levels in the National Leagues System, appearing all across the back line but mostly as a right back or centre back.
He also spent two years with Watford.
The Manchester-born player began his career in the academies at Manchester United and Stockport County.
He signed his first professional deal at Edgeley Park, where he captained the Under 23s.
Scott made his first team bow for the then National League Premier Division club in January 2022 in an 3-0 FA Trophy fourth-round victory over Larkhall Athletic.
After an impressive trial display, Scott transferred to EFL Championship club Watford in May 2022 and while at Vicarage Road, he had loan stints at Stalybridge Celtic, Cheshunt and Dover Athletic.
Scott enjoyed 25 National League South outings for Dover in 2022-23.
After leaving Watford, he joined Macclesfield in July 2024 but switched to Rylands in October of the same year as one of manager Neil Reynolds' first recruits.
Scott's contract with the NPL Premier Division club was extended for last season.
In March 2026, he signed for Ashton United on loan.
6ft 1in tall Scott brings an aerial presence and is comfortable in possession.
