Home draw in FA Cup but away in Trophy and Youth Cup

The draws for the two National FA Cup competitions involving our men's team have been made.

Exempt from the Extra Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup on account of a high finishing position in Pitching In Northern Premier League West last season, Runcorn Linnets will launch our campaign in the Preliminary Round.

We will host Worsbrough Bridge Athletic of the Northern Counties East League Premier Division or Trafford, now playing in North West Counties Premier Division on Saturday, August 22nd.

Trafford have of course recently signed our all-time record goal scorer Ryan Brooke while our new full back Ollie Southern has moved in the opposite direction.

Prelim round winners will collect £1,444 and the losers £481.

In the Isuzu FA Trophy, we enter in 1st Round Qualifying on Saturday, August 29th with a tie away to fellow Step 4 club, Sheffield-based Stocksbridge Park Steels from NPL East.

Winners will receive £1,500 (there is £400 for the losers)

Also drawn today was the FA Youth Cup in which we will begun in the Extra Preliminary Round at away to Cheadle Town.

This tie is due to be played in week commencing Monday. August 17th. The winners will be at home to FC United of Manchester in the Preliminary Round.
