More about new goalkeeper Cian O'Shea

Goalkeeper Cian O'Shea was handed his debut on loan from Stockport County for Saturday's 3-1 victory in the top-six clash at Vauxhall.

Cian has been capped Republic of Ireland U19s and signed his first professional contract with Stockport at 17 years old in November 2024 - the deal running until 2027.

Prior to that, he had been an Academy scholar at Edgeley Park, producing a string of impressive displays for the Under 18s.

Cian joined County at U15s level from a local grassroots club.

He had already represented England through the Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA)
