Pre-season schedule is unveiled

Home action against Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division opposition will highlight Runcorn Linnets' pre-season.

Our warm-up for the 2026-27 campaign in NPL West will see us welcome FC United of Manchester and Ashton United to APEC Taxis Stadium.

The six-game friendly programme opens with the traditional fixture at record Linnets appearance maker Matt Atherton's Euxton Villa from the North West Counties League Premier Division.

It also features visits to Marine of National League North, NWCL Division One North outfit Ashton Town (managed by another modern-day Linnets legend Kev Towey) and a third top-flight NPL side, Leek Town.

Saturday, 11th July - Euxton Villa, away, ko 3pm

Tuesday, 14th July - FC United,  home, ko 7.45pm

Saturday, 18th july - Marine, away, ko 3pm

Tuesday, 21st July Ashton Town, away, ko 7.45pm

Saturday, 25th July Ashton United, home, ko 3pm

Friday, 31st July Leek Town, away, ko 7.30pm
