Jacques Welsh says his appetite for success has only been whetted by the rare honour of lifting silverware with Runcorn Linnets.
He inspired the side to glory in the Cheshire Senior Cup at the beginning of his month after being acting skipper in the extended absence through illness and injury of club captain James Short.
The pair joined together to raise aloft the historic trophy after a stunning 3-0 victory over Stalybridge Celtic, which masked a largely troubled campaign in Pitching In Northern Premier League West,
Only two previous Runcorn Linnets captains had raised aloft a winners' trophy in the club's 19-year history - Mike Tomlinson (North West Counties League Challenge Cup in 2012-13) and Kyle Hamid (NWCL Premier Division championship in 2017-18).

Industrious midfielder Jacques is in his second spell at Linnets after a brief interlude at Bootle and has just passed the 150- appearance landmark at the club.
With 'Shorty' having made just one appearance since December 10th - as a substitute in the Liverpool Senior Cup tie against Tranmere Rovers - he has taken good care of the armband and led by example with his all-action displays.
At 24-years-old, he has an old head on young shoulders.
Jacques's leadership qualities had soon become known to Brad Cooke on the manager's February arrival at APEC Taxis Stadium - if Brad wasn't aware of them already.
The stand-in skipper's dramatic stoppage-time equaliser in the cup-winning boss's first match in charge - a 1-1 home draw against Vauxhall Motors - started a morale-boosting run of 10 unbeaten games.

Jacques said: "I am made up to be staying with Runcorn Linnets.
"It was was a hard season in the league but it ended on a high.
"Winning the cup with lads I've played with for few years now felt good and made me want to win win more things with them and the club.
"I can’t wait to get going again and hopefully win more silverware."
Manager Brad Cooke said: "Jacques is my type of player. His grit, determination and standards are top class. He is also a very good footballer and is a leader on and off the pitch. We are lucky to have someone like him at runcorn. For as long as we are at the football club, we want Jacques by our side!"
