Thrill of the Chase for Linnets on return home

After picking up our first away victory of the NPL West season, we are back on home soil this Saturday for what is traditionally a very tough fixture against Chasetown.

It took a stoppage-time free-kick from Harry McGee to secure a 1-0 victory over the Staffordshire outfit when they visited in February.

But on the previous two occasions, they had gone home with the points.

This will be Chasetown's fourth time at Murdishaw with the record showing two wins apiece.

With the pause in Premier League fixtures during the international break, Linnets will hope for a good turnout.

The Chase are in eighth place on 12 points from nine games - compared to our 11 from eight. We are in tenth spot after the weekend's single-goal win at Mossley.

Sean Miller is in line for his first APEC Taxis Stadium outing of the season after a welcone return to the starting line-up at Seel Park.

Kian Bell could make his home debut, having performed creditably on debut last Saturday.
