The club is sorry to report the death of another long-time fan.
John Thomas (Tommy) Coombs, who has passed away aged 94, was a stalwart Runcorn AFC supporter and fully embraced the successor club.
A real gentleman, Tommy was still regularly attending matches, home and away, well into his 80s.
His biggest friends at Linnets included Derek McKeirnon, John Martin and Richard Bettley.
Tommy's son-in-law Steve Percival also has a Linnets connection, having played for Runcorn AFC's reserve team in the 1970s when Stan Farmer was manager.
Tommy passed away on Monday, December 4th.
The funeral seevice at Walton Lea Crematorium on December 22nd will be followed by a reception at the Roundhouse pub in Weston Village.
We offer our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to Tommy's family.
