Runcorn Linnets Ladies return to league action this Sunday with a trip to Manchester Laces in North West Women's Regional League's South Division.

The match sees third-placed Linnets face a Laces team, who lie fourth.

With so few games left, this one will go some way to deciding the final positions with Linnets seeking to consolidate their current ranking.

Earlier in the season, the Manchester team left APEC Taxis Stadium with bragging rights by winning a tight affair against a depleted Runcorn side 2-1.

Linnets hope to have players back for the return encounter as they protect an unbeaten league record in 2026 - after defeats of AFC Crewe, Macclesfield, Wirral Phoenix and Nantwich.

Manchester Laces have likewise yet to be defeated this year with league victories to theur credit against Liverpool Feds Reserves and Chester plus a draw with Macclesfield.

It's a 2pm kick-off at Wythenshawe Town FC.
