Unwanted home hat-trick for Ladies

Runcorn Linnets Ladies suffered a third successive defeat in North West Women's Regional League Division One South on Sunday.


Despite a goal from Chelsea Gillies, Ladies went down 2-1 to AFC Crewe, completing a straight hat-trick of home losses.


Crewe's scorers were Rehanne Mellor and Sara Noori.


Linnets Ladies had a miserable end to November, losing 3-1 to Chester FC Women and 2-1 agajnst Manchester Laces - our consolation goals coming from Lile Ashley and skipper Emma Mclarney, respectively.


As a result, Linnets have dropped to third in the table with 19 points from 12 games behind the Laces (23pts from 12 matche) and leaders Nantwich Town Women (32pts from 13).


Next game for our team is this Sunday, away to Macclesfield.


It is a 2pm kick off at UCLAN Sports Arena, Tom Benson Way, Cottam, Preston, PR2 1SG - the university being official partners of Macclesfield FC.
