Jeff Jago to stand down from Trust Board at election

Jeff Jago has informed the Trust Boad that he will not be seeking re-election this year and will consequenrly be stepping down from the positions of vice-chairman and treasurer at Runcorn Linnets.
Jeff's wife Dawn will likewise be relinquishing her volunteer role as a member of our finance team.
Jeff has asked the club to issue the following statement:
To all Runcorn Linnets supporters,
I wanted you to hear this from me directly: it's with a heavy heart that I won't be standing at the forthcoming Trust Board elections and will therefore be stepping down from the official posts as vice chairman and treasurer and also from my role as club groundsman.
My wife Dawn will also be stepping away from her role doing the club invoices.
It has been a privilege to serve the club in these voluntary roles, but we can't continue in them.
Thank you to the board, volunteers, players and, most of all, the fans who make Runcorn Linnets what it is. Your support, week in and week out, means everything.
I won't be walking away entirely, though. I'll be staying on to run the 3G pitch project alongside Paul Tandy and Kel Hoose, as I don't think it's fair to leave a job half done.
I'll also carry on helping Dan with his kit man role, so you'll still see me around the ground.
We'll make sure the handover is smooth and we're happy to help whoever steps up.
And if the club ever needs me, I'm always here. Just ask. I'll remain a Linnets supporter for life and look forward to seeing you all at the ground.
Thank you,
Jeff
The club is greatly indebted to Jeff and also to Dawn for all their efforts on behalf of the club.
In thanking them for the valued and often unseen work they have undertaken, we are pleased to see that the family's links with Linnets remain intact and their support for the club will continue.

Our appreciation and good wishes to both.
