Linnets land Blackpool starlets

Manager Antony Kay has returned to his EFL stomping ground to sign two teenagers from League One's Blackpool.

Taylor Bowen and Jaden Jones are promising members of the Seasiders' Under 18s squad and join Runcorn Linnets on short-term loans, initially for a month.

Taylor has been at Blackpool for two years, arriving from Middlesbrough as a 16-year-old in the summer of 2022.

He is a powerful frontman with an eye for goal.

Taylor spent time on loan at Workington AFC at the start of the 2023/24 campaign, making three appearances.

Jaden Jones was handed his senior Blackpool debut in November last year against Morecambe in the EFL Trophy, the youngster coming off the bench. 

The central midfielder has featured for the Development Squad as well as the U18s and has the potential for more first team action in 2024-25.
