Linnets seek to build on encouraging week as caretaker boss watches on
It's a third home game in eight days for Runcorn Linnets this afternoon and after picking up four points from the previous two, we want to continue our climb of the table.
We're in a more respectable 11th place after Tuesday's memorable victory over Hanley Town but have played more matches than some of the teams below us.
Today we welcome 1874 Northwich, who have found it tough going since being promoted back to the NPL for this season with momentum having been affected by the summer departure of manager Chris Herbert to Vauxhall Motors.
They are third from bottom in the West Division and have taken just the three points from their last six matches.
Now in charge of last season's Midland Division Premier Division Play-off winners is Rory Fallon, who made three appearances for us as a player in 2017-18 with one goal.
Skipper Jacques Welsh remains in caretaker charge of Linnets until further notice but has a watching brief for this game due to suspension after picking up five yellow cards.
