Linnets sign Dean Adekoya to Stoke up attacking firepower

Runcorn Linnets are pleased to announce the signing of Dean Adekoya on loan from Sky Bet Championship club Stoke City.



Dean is an 18-year-old striker or left winger, who has this season established himself with the Potters' Under 21s in Premier League 2, after penning his first professional contract in July.



Dean originates from Manchester and  joined Stoke at U14s level. He is a quick, strong and aggressive forward who makes things happen.



Last season, Dean scored twice and provided two assists in 14 appearances in the U18 Premier League and made his Premier League 2 debut off the bench against Middlesbrough U21s.



His first PL2 appearance of 2024-25 came in Stoke's season-opening 1-1 draw against visiting Leeds United. Dean set up his team's late equaliser at bet365 Stadium.



Eight subsequent appearances in PL2 have yielded two goals - versus Manchester United and Everton.



The Potters U21s also compete in the Central League and National League Cup.
