Runcorn take on FA Cup giantkillers

It's a traditional Runcorn fixture, which has been back in the spotlight these last two seasons and anticipation has only increased as we visit Stafford Rangers this Saturday.

Linnets travel to Stan Robinson Sradium to be reaquainted with two of our standout players from 2025-26. Harvey Washington and Scott Bakkor both moved to the Boro in the summer, having become firm favourites at the APEC.

Stafford are fresh from a headline-making 5-0 replay victory over National League side Gateshead, which takes them into the First Round of the Emirates FA Cup and they will provide a big test.

After rebuilding their squad in the off-season with the help of major US investment, Stafford were immediately viewed by many as title favourites. They lie sixth in the table with games in hand on all around them.

Linnets are in our best form of the season and caretaker boss Jacques Welsh will return from his one-match suspension to also lead the side as skipper on a ground, where we have drawn the last two.

Linnets will be going all out to continue the recent improvement.
