Welcome to Runcorn Linnets U21s

Runcorn Linnets U21s are the development side of Runcorn Linnets Football Club, providing young players with the opportunity to play competitive football, develop their skills and gain valuable experience within a senior football environment.

We are proud to represent the famous yellow and green of Runcorn Linnets in the North West Under-21 Development League.

Our Journey

The U21s have enjoyed a hugely successful period in recent seasons.

- 2024/25 – Champions & Cup Winners 🏆

The 2024/25 season was a memorable one for the Linnets.

The team were crowned Championship B Champions, securing promotion to the Premier Division of the North West Under-21 Development League.

To make the season even more special, we also lifted the Divisional Cup, completing a league and cup double.

- 2025/26 – Third Place

Our first season in the Premier Division saw the team continue to compete at a high level.

We finished the 2025/26 season in 3rd place, finishing level on points with runners-up Stalybridge Celtic. We missed out on second spot due to the head-to-head record against them during the season.

- 2026/27 – The Next Chapter

Now entering the 2026/27 season, the U21s are ready for another challenge in the Premier Division.

Our aim is to continue developing talented young players while competing at the highest level possible and building on the success of the previous two seasons.

Developing Young Players

Our U21s are about more than just results. We want to create an environment where young players can develop their football, gain experience, build confidence and learn what it takes to compete at a high level.

We believe in giving players opportunities while creating a strong team environment built on hard work, commitment and togetherness.

Proud to Be Linnets

Every player who wears the yellow and green represents Runcorn Linnets Football Club, our supporters and the wider Runcorn community.

We expect our players to show passion, commitment and respect every time they step onto the pitch, while taking pride in representing the Linnets.

Looking Ahead

After winning the league and cup in 2024/25, finishing third in the Premier Division in 2025/26 and narrowly missing out on second place, the U21s are hungry to take the next step.

The journey continues.
