Adam Moseley pens historic Runcorn Linnets contract

History has been made at Runcorn Linnets with teenage striker Adam Moseley signing a contract.

He is the first home town player - and graduate of our junior and youth sections - to be contracted by the club.

Adam, 18, first broke into the senior squad in the 2022-23 pre-season and he has really kicked on with his development in recent months.

Last weekend's Emirates FA Cup tie at Charnock Richard saw the youngster score his first competitive senior goal in a Runcorn shirt.

He again made a big impression after coming off the bench in the replay.

Adam has hitherto been on forms with both Runcorn and Barnton of the North West Counties League.

But this exciting new chapter in his career means that the dual registration has ended.

Adam is now exclusively a Runcorn Linnets player.

The strong-running forward is the second generation of his family to represent the Linnets.

His dad, Mike starred for Runcorn AFC at a similar age.

Mike went on to join Witton Albion, becoming their fourth top post World War Two scorer with 162 goals from 389 appearances.

In negotiating his way through our junior agegroup teams from Under 11s onwards before playing for Linnets' youth, ESPFA Academy and Under-21s sides Adam has proved a prolific marksman in his own right.

And fans have taken him firmly to their hearts as "one of our own".

Since making his official first-team debut in October of last year, as a late substitute in an Isuzu FA Trophy defeat of Ossett United, Adam has seen his involvement gradually increase.

He has featured in six of our eight games so far this season.
