Club kicks off 3G funding scheme

ree

Runcorn Linnets have launched a major fundraising drive to help finance a new 3G pitch.

This is planned on site on the Halton Sports Playing Fields outside APEC Taxis Stadium and will massively improve our facilities for training and grassroots match play.

It will also be an important community asset for hire by other clubs and organisations in an area, which is desperately short of such facilities.

The club hopes to access grant funding for the ambitious project and our senior, youth and junior teams are committed to supporting the money raising.

But we need a huge effort from our fans and other stakeholders.

A full-size 3G pitch will revolutionise the way the club operates all year round but particularly during winter months when our grass pitches need protection and might be weather-affected.

This is also part of the club's pledge as a community benefit society.

Anyone involved in Runcorn sport knows that that all-weather pitches are very hard to find and often over-subscribed.

We would be grateful for any external donations or fundraising.

Your support will encourage our talented players including hundreds of ambitious Juniors boys and girls to achieve their goals while opening up possibilities for the club to expand.

Additional activities such as disabilities and walking football would further our reputation as a fully-inclusive organisation, which seeks to promote a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing through involvement in sport.

This is part of a wider vision to further establish Runcorn Linnets FC as a centre of sporting excellence, dovetailing with other exciting initiatives which are in the pipeline.

Find out more on our GoFundMe page, which we kick off today with an initial £13,000 target. Our total contribution is £160,000.
