Double-winning Under 21s are honoured

Runcorn Linnets reaped further reward for their endeavours and achievements over a double-winning campaign in North West Development League's Championship Division B.

At Friday's presentation night, all the squad received individual mementoes after landing the league title, which brings promotion to the Premier Division for 2025-26, and the Divisional Cup.

But principal honours went to skipper Jay Lee, fellow defender Cal Prince and striker Lew Crane.

Centre back Lee took the Manager's Player of the Year award while centre forward Crane topped the vote for Players' Player - ahead of Lee and midfielder Asnafi Shamari.

Crane also received the Golden Boot for his 28 goals while full back Prince's strike at Stalybridge earned him the accolade for Goal of the Season.
