Five directors have been re-elected at Runcorn Linnets while a newcomer joins the Trust Board after this year's election.

Kelly Jones, who is already secretary of the men's Under 21s team and manages the club's monthly Newsletter, claimed the sixth and final vacancy.

Vice-chairman/treasurer Jeff Jago, Ste Bignall (Trust communications manager), Alan Jones (club president/shop & bars manager), Sam Phillips (media manager) and Josh Christian (community manager) were all returned to office on the vote of Trust members.

Former club chairman David Jones was unsuccessful in his bid to rejoin the Board, taking seventh place in the poll.

The full result is as follows:

Ste Bignall - 129 votes

Jeff Jago - 125 votes

Alan Jones - 124 votes

Sam Phillips - 124 votes

Josh Christian - 122 votes

Kelly Jones - 101 votes

--------‐---------------------

David Jones - 69 votes

Votes were received from 157 of 222 members in a 70.9% turnout.

Andy Walsh and Garreth Cummins from the Football Supporters Association independently verified the result, having joined the club's Trust secretary Dave Bettley on the Election Management Group (EMG). Our thanks go to Andy and Garreth for their help.

The six successful candidates will each serve for two years. Congratulations to them and commiserations to David Jomes.

Six other Board members - chairman Peter Cartledge, general manager Bren Connolly, commercial manager Paul Riley, ground development manager Paul Tandy, programme editor/media officer Jack Walsh and business development manager Ian Green - are midway through their terms in office.

They will retire by rotation in 2025 to seek re-election should they so wish.

The Trust Board is completed by three co-opted members - Paul Eastup (club secretary), Tracey Tinsley (fundraising manager/staff & volunteer co-ordinator) and Nick Woods (Juniors liaison).

Their positions will be for annual review at the next Board meeting.
