Jorge Dwyer graduated from the Under 21s to the first team in September but it was in February that his big Runcorn Linnets break came.
He hadn't featured in the senior ranks since making his full debut - on the back of three appearances as sub - in October's 1-0 home Liverpool Senior Cup victory over Bootle.
But Jorge had made a lasting impression on his team-mates and when Ryan Brooke, Karl Clair and James Short took temporary charge of the team in between managers, they immediately drafted Jorge back into the squad.
On being appointed boss, Brad Cooke clearly liked the look of the player too.
Jorge went on to enjoy 21 Linnets senior outings in total - building a platform for the new season, when he'll want to add to his six starts.

He brings energy and tenacity in midfield -with a sprinkle of magic.
His only goal so far, an exquisite chip to round off a 6-1 Cheshire Senior Cup quarter-final defeat of visiting !874 Northwich, was certainly memorable.
Jorge had launched his Linnets first team career by coming off the bench in a 1-0 Pitching In Northern Premier League West win at Vauxhall Motors.

His end-of-season run-in was hampered slightly by injury but he played the last 17 minutes of the Cheshire Senior Cup final as one of a handful, who had progressed through the U21s.
Manager Brad Cooke said: "Jorge had a great finish to the season after picking up a little knock that derailed him.
"He has all the attributes to be a top midfielder and I’m sure he will kick on again next season.
"He’s a top lad and we are looking forward to seeing him continue to develop."
Jorge Dwyer said: "Since Brad and Sadz have come in, they have always made it clear to me they want to improve me as a player and to push on and win things with the lads.
"After winning the cup the other month, there was no question that I wanted to be apart of that."
After turning 21 in August, Jorge played six times as an over-age player for our North West U21s Development League side in 2024-25.
He had played five first-team games for Prescot Cables in 2021-22 and has appeared 42 times for Runcorn Town, featuring for them in eleven games last season on dual registration.
He has also played in the North West Counties League for Barnton.
