Runcorn Linnets Juniors are celebrating a rare Cheshire FA Cup double with two finals being won on the same day.

Firstly, our Under 15s Blues triumphed for a third successive year in county agegroup competitions in victory against Timperley U15s.

Two goals from Bobby Ireland and a third from Luca Siwoku secured their 3-1 win.

The club's Under 16s Greens promptly secured their second County Cup success in three years by defeating Frodsham U16s in a hotly-contested tie.

A single goal by Joe Morris was all that separated the teams.

Both finals were played today at Vauxhall Motors FC.

Congratulations to all players, their managers and coaches.

Linnets Under 10s Yellows Girls are in the final of Warrington Girls League's Champions Cup on Sunday May 11th.

Several teams are still in their respective league cups - these competitions having been delayed by the weather - so hopefully more will progress to the final weekend.
