Two-goal Philippa leads Champions Trophy success for our Under 10s Yellows Girls

Runcorn Linnets' Under 10s Yellows Girls team turned in a superb performance in the Warrington Girls JFL Champions Trophy final, running out 3-0 winners against a strong Whittle Hall Wildstars side.

Both teams contributed to a fantastic match, but Linnets were at the top of their game across all parts of the field.

Player of the Match, Philippa Molloy scored goals either side of half-time - a looping shot from around 25 yards being followed by a superb solo goal as she took the ball past two opponents before unleashing an unstoppable shot from just outside the area.

Whittle Hall rallied towards the latter part of the game but the trophy was secured after a third and final goal by Olivia Wood.
