Runcorn Linnets Under 21s manager Ste Ellams has brought a "new dynamic" to his attack with the signing of Joel Street.

Joel joins the promotion-winning squad as it gears up for a first season in the Premier Division of the North West Under 21s Development League.

The versatile Frodsham-based player is a graduate of the Academy at Rochdale FC, where he featured for the Under 18s - having previously been at Stoke City.

Joel, a strong and powerful right-sided attacking midfielder or forward, has the ability to turn players, loves physical contact with opponents and thrives on individual duals.

He can play at centre forward or in the No.10 position and was recruited after grabbing both Linnets goals in the U21s' midweek friendly opener against CIty of Liverpol 1sts.

Joel, who will turn 18 early August, has a great scoring record, is good in the air and loves to attack crosses.

Manager Ste Ellams said: "Joel is hardworking and has a very honest attitude.

"He is an unbelievable talent as we saw the other night, not least from those goals,

"With a fantastic background as a Rochdale scholar, Joel brings a whole new dynamic to our attacking play.

"I had the pleasure of managing him at Cheshire Schools. Joel is a great addition and I'm really excited about watching his development over the next 12 months."
