Welcome

Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.

We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity.

We currently play in the North West Counties Football League, and were awarded Charter Standard in October 2011.

Feel free to view the latest news, and find out what's new on the site. If you have any suggestions, comments or questions, then please contact us using the Contact Us page.

Volunteers wanted for the Cleaning Crew

With a number of home matches throughout August the schedule for cleaning is as follows (from 10am onwards) and as usual volunteers are always welcome:

  • Wednesday 13 August
  • Monday 18 August
  • Wednesday 20 August
  • Sunday 24 August

Car Boot Sale on Bank Holiday Monday - volunteers required

The annual Car Boot Sale in aid of club funds takes place at Sutton Fields on the Bank Holiday Monday 25th August. This is an excellent fundraiser for the club and we need as many volunteers as possible to help out at what is always a very busy event. Please Contact Us if you are able to offer help.

Be an early bird with 2014-15 Linnets membership

Members of the Runcorn Linnets Trust are again reminded that ALL annual subscriptions expire on August 31st 2014.
Although the official renewal date is September 1st 2014, there is no need to wait until then – renewals and new applications are now being accepted . Early submission would help the Trust Secretary with processing memberships.
Forms can be downloaded from the Trust section of the website and are also available on match days at the turnstile or from the Information Station in the clubhouse. Thank you.

2014-15 membership update

The Trust will not be issuing any membership renewals in June, July and August. This is because, in line with the changes passed at the club's AGM in December, all existing memberships expiring in these months are automatically extended to August 31st 2014.

All current memberships now expire on that date and become due for renewal on September 1st 2014. Once the new membership system is operational, the club will not need to send out subscription reminders to members - everyone will know when their membership is due.
2014-15 membership is now available - advance renewals and joining applications are being accepted.

Click here to visit the Trust Page for further details and the membership application form.
