Welcome

Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.

We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity.

We currently play in the North West Counties Football League, and were awarded Charter Standard in October 2011.

Match day volunteers for Christmas game

The club is asking our match day volunteers to report for 1.30pm at the latest on Boxing Day. Various tasks have already been allocated but this will enable us to gauge final numbers and identify roles which need filling.

With a big crowd expected, any additional assistance would be welcome - it would help greatly if any would-be helpers could in the first instance get in touch through the Contact Us page.

Arrangements for Boxing Day derby

Please note that both turnstiles will be open at The Millbank Linnets Stadium on Boxing Day. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and park initially in the overflow car park. The normal matchday turnstile (No. 1) will open from 1.30pm with turnstile No. 2 being open from 2pm. As well as the usual tea bar, from where hot food and drinks will be served, drinks and light refreshments will be available from the shelter next to the main seating stand.
The Foodbank Collection will be on the area on Stockham Lane, as last season, and all contributions will be gratefully accepted. If anyone would like to volunteer to help Lee and Tony with this, please let them know. Please note that the overflow car park will be locked at 5.30pm so if you are popping into the Halton Arms after the game, please move your car first. Thank you
