Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.

We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity.

We currently play in the North West Counties Football League, and were awarded Charter Standard in October 2011.

What's New?

Match day admission and season tickets 2015-16

The Trust Board of Runcorn Linnets FC at its May meeting earlier this week set first-team admission prices for the 2015-16 campaign along with the cost of season tickets.

Adult admission will be 6. This represents the first increase since the club re-formed in 2006 the 5 charge implemented upon the Linnets' return to Runcorn in 2010 and maintained for the last five seasons being 50p less than the price supporters paid during the club's tenancy at Witton Albion FC.

Club chairman Derek Greenwood said: "The board has endeavoured to hold down the admission prices for as long as possible but fans will appreciate that running costs and particularly our utility bills have increased considerably over the last nine years.

"The new admission price brings us into line with a number of other clubs in the North West Counties League.

"We are sure our loyal fans will agree that attending games at the Millbank Linnets Stadium will continue to represent tremendous value for money thanks to the excellent standard of football the team has produced and maintained under Joey Dunn's management and also the high quality of facilities we offer."

Concessionary admission will remain at 3. This is applicable to those supporters aged 65 and over, 17-18 year olds and to students in full-time education on production of a student card.

We will continue to offer free entry to accompanied Under 17s while anyone holding a Halton Leisure Card will still receive a 2 discount on the full (adult) admission price.

As a result of the price increase, adult season tickets to cover all home league games will cost 102. Season-ticket holders will, however, now receive four free matches instead of the customary three.

The cost of a concessionary season ticket is unchanged at 54.

To help spread the costs for fans, half-season tickets are available at 51 (adults) and 27 (concessions). These cover the first 11 or second 10 league games at the MLS.

Supporters can apply for a season ticket (or half-season ticket) by sending a cheque for the correct amount, payable to "Runcorn Linnets FC", along with a self-addressed envelope to:

Season tickets can also be purchased at our pre-season friendly matches or online by clicking here.

Second chance to buy TheNonLeague magazine at first home league game

Anybody interested in purchasing the first issue of TheNonLeague magazine will have another opportunity at our first home NWCL game of the season against Ashton Athletic on Tuesday, August 11th (ko 7.45pm). We have a limited number of copies still available at the introductory price of 1 - every penny going directly to the Linnets.

Volunteers needed for Runcorn Linnets' fundraising boot sale

Following on from the club's successful golf tournament at Runcorn Golf Club on Friday July 31st, the next major fundraiser for Runcorn Linnets is a boot sale at Sutton Fields in Sutton Weaver at the end of this month.

We have again been allocated a prime slot on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31st. As well as buyers and sellers, we need as much volunteer support as possible from our Trust members and fans with marshalling what will hopefully be an extremely busy event from early morning into the afternoon.

We are asking anybody willing to help with this at any stage of the proceedings to get in touch via Contact Us on the club website or speak with any club official at a forthcoming first-team match.

The club is also appealing for assistance in publicising the boot sale through supporters taking out posters/fliers and would be grateful if those willing to help with this could likewise make themselves known.
