Welcome

Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.

We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity.

We currently play in the North West Counties Football League, and were awarded Charter Standard in October 2011.

What's New?

RLFC to benefit from Millbank sales of new North West non-league magazine

Runcorn Linnets FC are ordering 100 introductory copies of the North West Counties League's new official partner magazine, TheNonLeague with all sales made through us directly benefiting the club.

The maiden August issue will be on sale through RLFC for just 1 and we will receive every penny of the cover price for magazines we sell during the month at the Millbank Linnets Stadium.

The non-league scene throughout the region from Step 1 (The National League) down to Step 6 (North West Counties League Division One) will be featured regularly while Step 7 - amateur leagues feeding into the Pyramid - will also receive prominent coverage.

TheNonLeague editor, Phil Brennan said: "Our magazine is about northwest non-league football by northwest non-league people."

Future editions of the 100-page full colour A4 magazine will be priced at 4.50. However, they will be on sale in the NWCL for 3 and each club in our league will continue to receive 1 for every copy it sells.

The first monthly edition has gone to press this week, so we hope to have our copies in time for the new season.

Please remember that all copies purchased directly from Runcorn Linnets will boost our coffers so we would ask our loyal fans to make sure they buy the magazine from us.

Match day admission and season tickets 2015-16

The Trust Board of Runcorn Linnets FC at its May meeting earlier this week set first-team admission prices for the 2015-16 campaign along with the cost of season tickets.

Adult admission will be 6. This represents the first increase since the club re-formed in 2006 the 5 charge implemented upon the Linnets' return to Runcorn in 2010 and maintained for the last five seasons being 50p less than the price supporters paid during the club's tenancy at Witton Albion FC.

Club chairman Derek Greenwood said: "The board has endeavoured to hold down the admission prices for as long as possible but fans will appreciate that running costs and particularly our utility bills have increased considerably over the last nine years.

"The new admission price brings us into line with a number of other clubs in the North West Counties League.

"We are sure our loyal fans will agree that attending games at the Millbank Linnets Stadium will continue to represent tremendous value for money thanks to the excellent standard of football the team has produced and maintained under Joey Dunn's management and also the high quality of facilities we offer."

Concessionary admission will remain at 3. This is applicable to those supporters aged 65 and over, 17-18 year olds and to students in full-time education on production of a student card.

We will continue to offer free entry to accompanied Under 17s while anyone holding a Halton Leisure Card will still receive a 2 discount on the full (adult) admission price.

As a result of the price increase, adult season tickets to cover all home league games will cost 102. Season-ticket holders will, however, now receive four free matches instead of the customary three.

The cost of a concessionary season ticket is unchanged at 54.

To help spread the costs for fans, half-season tickets are available at 51 (adults) and 27 (concessions). These cover the first 11 or second 10 league games at the MLS.

Supporters can apply for a season ticket (or half-season ticket) by sending a cheque for the correct amount, payable to "Runcorn Linnets FC", along with a self-addressed envelope to:
