Welcome

Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.

We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity.

We currently play in the Hallmark Security Football League (North West Counties Football League), and were awarded Charter Standard in October 2011.

Remember, if you are unable to make it to a match, then you can get the latest live score, plus mini-commentary by visiting this site during the game! If you can't get to a computer during the match, then you can have the details of the match at half and full time sent by text to your phone. You can get more details of this on the SMS page. Trust Memberships 2016-17 becoming due for renewal

Our 2015-16 Trust Membership year ends on August 31st and all annual memberships become due for renewal on September 1st.

You can join or renew now by printing off and using the application form on the Trust page. The form is the same for renewals and new joiners.

In the case of existing and new overseas members, subscriptions for 2016-17 can be paid through our Payments page and forms emailed to trust@runcornlinnetsfc.co.uk

Trust forms can also be found at the Information Station in the clubhouse (next to the hospitality room) or obtained from the Trust secretary, Dave Bettley, at the turnstile on match days.

Runcorn drew with Cammell Laird in the Hallmark Security League Premier Division at Kirklands with a score of 3-3. Kyle Hamid scored for the Linnets with a world class effort from just inside the area that went into the top left corner in the 11th minute. Cammell Laird equalised in the 23rd minute. Cammell Laird scored in the 30th minute. Penalty saved by 1907 in 44th. Kyle Hamid equalised with a well-taken penalty in the 78th minute. Kyle Hamid scored for the Linnets in the 89th minute following a fantastic penalty. Cammell Laird equalised in the 90th minute.

Runcorn lost to Runcorn Town in the League at Pavilions with a score of 3-1. Runcorn Town went ahead in the 10th minute. Town awarded a penalty in 29th. Runcorn Town increased their lead in the 30th minute. Steve Foster closed the gap in the 65th minute following a coolly taken volley from inside the area. Runcorn Town increased their lead in added time of the second half.
