Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.

We are a Trust-based club formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although at the time technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity.

We currently play in the North West Counties Football League, and were awarded Charter Standard in October 2011.

Final flourish at The Millbank Linnets Stadium

There are still two more cup finals to be played at the stadium after Formby's thrilling triumph last night in the North West Counties League's Division One Cup final.

They defeated Hanley Town on penalties, scores having been 3-3 after extra-time.

The remaining finals are:

Thursday, 24 April (KO 7pm): Hallmark Security Runcorn Sunday League Harry Tabb Memorial Trophy, Bridge Timber v Brookvale

Sunday, 27 April (KO 11am): Hallmark Security Runcorn Sunday League Bob Orme Challenge Cup, Brookvale v Bridge Timber

Just two more working parties scheduled

The busy schedule for those entrusted with the cleaning of the clubhouse after a rush of end-of-season club games (and the hosting of semi-finals and finals for the Cheshire FA and Hallmark Security Runcorn Sunday League) is now nearing an end.
We have just two more working parties arranged to clean and tidy up the dressing rooms and main social area. These are on Friday, April 25th and Monday, April 28th, both sessions from 10am. Once again, all help will be appreciated.

Awards Evening - 2nd May

The Linnets annual awards evening will be held on Friday 2 May at The Millbank Linnets Stadium from 7.30pm onwards.
