Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.

We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity.

We currently play in the North West Counties Football League, and were awarded Charter Standard in October 2011.

Runcorn Linnets FC Limited: AGM on Thursday, December 10th

The 2015 Annual General Meeting of Runcorn Linnets Football Club Limited is to take place on Thursday, December 10th in the clubhouse at The Millbank Linnets Stadium, Murdishaw Avenue, Runcorn, WA7 6HP - starting at 7.30pm.

The meeting will see the presentation of the club accounts for the 2014-15 financial year.

Nominations for the Trust Board have now closed and the deadline for member resolutions has also passed.

Non members of the club will be able to attend the AGM but only as observers and will not be allowed to participate in the meeting. To be classed as a member, applications must have been received and accepted and the appropriate subscription paid in full by noon on Thursday November 19th.

At the conclusion of the meeting, there will be a Question & Answer session with club manager Joey Dunn.

Roadworks on M62 J10 (M6 Junction) for 12 weeks - Delays/Closures expected

We have been informed by Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald that they will be carrying out overnight maintenance works on M62 J10 (junction with M6). Works will include waterproofing of bridges, installation of a new parapet and lighting columns and resurfacing over the bridge deck: This will take place at the following locations.

M62 eastbound to M6 southbound slip road from Thursday 24 September 2015 for approximately 12 weeks.
M62 westbound to M6 northbound slip road from Sunday 27 September 2015 for approximately 12 weeks.

As this road carries a large volume of traffic and to avoid major disruption to road users, works will be carried between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00, Monday to Sunday. In order to carry out these works safely, temporary overnight road closures of the slip roads at the M62 J10 will be in place during the dates and times stated above. Localised signed diversion routes will be in place. During daytime hours, lanes will be narrowed on the slip road and a 50mph speed limit will be in place.

Although these roadworks shouldn't directly impact visitors to the Millbank Linnets Stadium, there could be general congestion in the area, so we advise travelling fans/clubs to check travel reports, and be prepared to adjust your travel times.

Road Closure for Mersey Gateway likely to cause travel disruption

Please be aware that the Central Expressway is to be closed as part of the Mersey Gateway project. This is likely to cause disruption right through until after the end of the season, and we advise all visitors to the Millbank Linnets Stadium to check their route and adjust their travel times accordingly.

For the latest news regarding road and footpath closures, you can visit their website.
