    Welcome

Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.

We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity.

We currently play in the Hallmark Security Football League (North West Counties Football League), and were awarded Charter Standard in October 2011.

IMPORTANT! Major clubhouse working party this Sunday (Nov 19th) - please don't leave all the work to others

Our new clubhouse will be open and in operation for the first time at our next but one home game against Ashton Athletic on Saturday, November 25th.

The club has much work to do to transfer club belongings and various fixtures and fittings from the existing HQ which has served us so well for the last seven years.

We will be here all day on Sunday, November 19th - the day after the visit of Northwich Vics - from 10am, trying to get everything done and would appreciate help from as many willing hands as possible.

While we are always grateful to our regular volunteers, it is true to say that such appeals for help in the past have not had a very wide response.

Please be aware that this move is by far our biggest task since moving into the stadium itself in 2010 and we are going to be extremely hard pushed to get everything ready.

Club officials and helpers have already devoted an awful lot of time and effort over the last couple of years to securing this important and impressive new facility for Runcorn Linnets and help to bring the scheme to fruition.

We have one of the biggest fan bases in the league and are owned by run by SUPPORTERS.

If you are fit and able, please don't leave all the remaining work to the Trust Board and others come along to lend a hand!

Launch of "Once a Linnet, Always a Linnet" booklet is delayed until Ashton Athletic home match

We had hoped to have copies of former club chairman, Derek Greenwood's new booklet "Once a Linnet, Always a Linnet" on sale in time for this Saturday's game versus Northwich Vics.

However, delivery has unfortunately been delayed until early next week, although the booklets have now been printed. The launch of the publication will now coincide with the opening of our new clubhouse on Saturday, November 25th when we entertain Ashton Athletic.

Copies are still available to pre-order through our website.

The cover price is 10 (postage if desired is extra, costing 2 in the UK).

The 72-page full colour publication is in A4 format and traces the story of the Linnets back to the beginning with the formation of predecessor club, Runcorn AFC in 1918.

The superb booklet is full of memories, photographs, memorabilia and statistics and is an ideal Christmas present for any Linnets fan.

Every penny from sales will go directly to Runcorn Linnets FC.

You can pre-order through the Purchase Page
All pre-orders will be sent out as soon as the booklets have been delivered next week.

Sincere apologies for the delay, due to circumstances beyond Derek's and the club's control.
