Welcome

Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.

We currently play in the Hallmark Security Football League (North West Counties Football League), and were awarded Charter Standard in October 2011.

We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity.

New Clubline Number Revealed - 08454860705

Following the suspension of the old clubline telephone number in early December, the replacement service has been commissioned, and the new number is 08454860705.

When you call this number, depending upon the time of day, and day of week, you will either be put through to a member of the Trust Board First Team group, clubhouse, or will be invited to leave a message. We aim to respond to all messages left within 4 hours, so it's worth leaving a message if you can't get through to speak to somebody directly.

Calls to this number are 7p per minute, plus your Network Access Charge. Please make sure you are aware of what your telephone provider will charge in addition to the 7p per minute before making the call.

Situations vacant do you have a bit of time to volunteer at Runcorn Linnets?

As a volunteer club, we have always heavily relied on assistance from members and supporters in carrying out various tasks which are key to the smooth running of Runcorn Linnets but now more than ever as we strive to take our club to the next level.

From time to time, we need new people to come forward to volunteer their services.

There are opportunities to contribute to a successful, growing club and to make an important contribution to your local community football club.

We are looking to fill the following positions or vacancies on first team match days:

Car Park attendants: Saturday 2pm-3pm, Midweek 6.45pm-7,45pm maximum 2 hours per week)

There have been issues reported with regards to our new car park filling up on match days and incorrect parking reducing the capacity. Our former car park steward has through necessity been seconded to a fundraising role at games. Any help with ensuring that cars are parked in an orderly fashion would be greatly appreciated.

Public address operator: Saturday 2.30pm-5pm, Midweek 7.30pm-9.30pm, maximum 5 hours per week

This is one of many roles undertaken by our club chairman whose match day time would be better served in other ways. We are currently looking into a major upgrade of our current PA system.

Post match pitch repair: Saturday 5pm-6pm, Midweek 9.30-10pm, maximum 1.5 hours per week

Our ground staff and other fellow volunteers do an excellent job in maintaining the playing surface. Help with repairing divots immediately after matches would help greatly to keep our pitch in good shape.

If you are willing to put yourself forward to take on any of the roles above, please get in touch through the Contact Us page or email trust@runcornlinnetsfc.co.uk

Please don't rely exclusively on others to maintain enjoyment of YOUR football and YOUR club

Please get actively involved. We'd be most grateful.
