I've only been here a short time but this club gets under your skin. The players put in an unbelievable performance and this is for our volunteers and fans, who contribute so much - Brad Cooke

Runcorn Linnets boss Brad Cooke spoke with media manager Sam Phillips immediately after last night's memorable Cheshire Senior Cup victory over Stalybridge Celtic. The 3-0 triumph, highlighted by an Adam Moseley hat-trick, was watched by close to 1,400 fans.

SP: Now I'm joined by Runorn's winning manager Brad Cook. Brad you must be so happy We talked before the game about how important this was to win silverware for this club. You said before we've been starved of it for years but you must be so happy?

BC: So happy, mate. Really it's for you - it's for you lot, you know the volunteers that give hours and hours and hours of service to this football club. Tthe fans: there wouldn't be a team on the pitch if it wasn't for the fans. So it's you that I'm happy for. I've been here a short space of time and it gets under your skin this place. I felt, you know, not that pressure but I felt that there's a need that we have to deliver on success and and we've done that tonight. Put a lot of pressure on those boys in there Super super proud of them because they've turned out an unbelievable performance tonight after a shaky 10 minutes. I thought we were dominant from that point. I'm really, really pleased. So yeah, very, very proud manager tonight.

SP: Yeah, the first 10, 15 minutes Stalybridge really come out the blocks quickly and it sort of looked like we were a little bit shellshocked. But we spoke after Hednesford about the way that having a week's preparation gave you a bit of time to come up with a system and and play it. There was a slight tweak to it tonight. Do you think the system really gave us the stepping stone to get back into it after that first 15 minutes?

BC: Oh yeah. Everything was about getting Adam Moseley you know in areas of the football pitch and he scored three. But listen that's not down to tactics and I say that tongue in cheek, although we did set up to do that. That's not on me and Sads, it's the players that deliver and they've delivered tonight. Having that week's rest, 10 days rest was helpful for us because it allowed us to get bodies - I mean look how much ground Brookey's covered tonight - it's allowed us to to rest some bodies. Jacques (Welsh) really struggling but again, I say and it's crazy for for me to say for a full back, but I thought Eden Gumbs again. It's the difference when he's in the team, allowing us then to you know push Naim further on and I thought he too was exceptional tonight. Eden gives us that and and he's been really struggling since he got injured at Congolton in the warm-up. But he makes a massive, massive difference to us and I thought he was exceptional. I don't really want to single him out because every single play was outstanding tonight but yeah I just want to give a special shoutout to Eden. Runcorn lad you know, born and bred. What a night for him.

Same with Jacques, Brookey, Peter Wylie, Bayleigh Passant, Lewis Doyle - the ones that have you know suffered those Cup final losses. We've got the monkey off the back now haven't we?

Adam Moseley took his Cheshire Senior Cup campaign total to seven goals with last night's hat-trick being added to two against Witton Albion and one apiece versus 1874 Northwich and Hyde United. SP: No, it was a real team performance tonight from back to front. And I know you don't like to single individuals out but we can't talk about that game without talking about the man of the moment. We spoke in the pre-match build-up about how important it was to have the 21s behind the first team and bring up that quality Well we saw it tonight that quality in Adam Moseley's boots.

BC: Yeah. Since we've walked in, he's impressed us more and more. But what I found, what we found is I think it was Hyde first game that we we played him as a proper 10 so to speak. We've dipped him in there and out wide and stuff but I think he's exceptional as a number 10 because he's so direct. He's so positive with the ball and when he's played there, he's been unbelievable for us and tonight he's shown that. At times, you know he's young and he snatches at things and then he beats himself up and then he's in his own head.

But look, that first finish tonight. you know, it's as if he's been doing it for 20 years.Really really proud of him because he's a great lad and again if he if he believed in himself as much as me and Sadler believe in him, he's got a real real chance of making you know a very good career for himself because tonight he was exceptional. So special shout out to Mose. He's done great since we've walked through the door I think, like I said, since we've put him in that 10 position, he's kind of made it his own.

SP: Well, Brad congratulations. You can go to bed at home with a smile on your face now.

BC: No, we won't go with a smile on our face We'll go with plenty of Murdishaw Massive stickers in our pocket and we'll see how far we can get with them.
