It's 15 years ago today since we came home to Runcorn

It's hard to believe that a decade and a half has passed since we returned to town.
Fifteen years ago to the day, we played our first ever game at what was then the Millbank Linnets Stadium, attracting a four figure crowd for the opening friendly against Witton Albion - our landlords for the first four years after formation - on Saturday, July 17th 2010.
How far we have come!

We have since won a second promotion as North West Counties League Premier Division champions; twice attracted capacity crowds in Northern Premier League play-offs and consistently upgraded our facilities - installing a state-of- the-art hybrid pitch, opening a new clubhouse and enclosing the Halton Sports Playing Fields for our junior teams.
The stadium is indeed barely recognisable today from the one we unveiled in 2010, when our pitch and dressing rooms were on opposite sides of Stockham Lane, let alone the site we inherited.
We have launched and developed a section for ladies and girls players.
Earlier this year, our men's first team lifted the Cheshire Senior Cup for the first time with the reformed U21s doing a North West Development League double.

These images at the time of stadium construction reflect the progress we have made in such a short time.
It's been hard work and at times challenging but how much have we enjoyed it?
Many volunteers managers, coaches and players have all been part (and at the heart of it) - not forgetting our fabulous fans, Trust members, sponsors and organisations, who provided advice, assistance and grants to make it all possible.

We are Runcorn Linnets.
We are so proud to be at the centre of our community and committed to continued growth, improvement and prosperity.

Who knows what the next 15 years will bring? But it'll be exciting.
Here's to the future!!
