Peter Wylie is Supporters Club Player of the Season at Runcorn Linnets, lifting the Jimmy Lighfoot Trophy as part of an awards hat-trick.

A mainstay in the team, Peter has been a stabilising influence in central defence in an at times taxing campaign for the APEC Taxis Stadium club.

Peter's treble also includes the Club Chairman's Award and the George Worrall Trophy for Players' Player of the Year.

With three league games still to come and the Cheshire Senior Cup final to follow, Peter is within two appearances of 200 for Linnets.

The season has also seen him notch his first Runcorn goal since October 2019, only a fifth in our colours.

Joe Ferguson's stunning overhead effort in last month's home match against Stalybridge Celtic was voted Goal of the Season on the vote of Trust members.

It is the powerful full back's only strike in a Linnets shirt to date - he was manager Brad Cooke's first signing in February.

Joe's spectacular equaliser aided Runcorn's recovery from two goals down to prolong our play-off challenge with a 3-2 home win.

This prize is awarded in memory of supporters Joan and Wilf Bettley.

Record breaker Ryan Brooke is Young Supporters Player of the Year.

The centre forward takes the award, named after the late Phil Tyler, who like Jimmy Lightfoot was a much-respected Supporters Club stalwart.

Ryan last month smashed Linnets' all-time scoring record, his winner in that memorable fightback against Stalybridge setting a fresh mark at the club of 77 goals with his 14th of the campaign.

The striker receives club president Alan Jones's award for Leading Scorer.
